Regina Kinnarney, 81, of Oven Mountain Road, passed away early Thursday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Saratoga Hospital.

Reggie was born in Johnsburg on June 27, 1930, the daughter of the late Morgan and Sadie Solaski Pasco, living most of her life in the Johnsburg area.

She graduated from the Johnsburg Central School in 1947 and later graduated from Plattsburgh State Teachers College in 1954. It was then that she met Fred “Ted” Kinnarney and they were married in November of 1955.

Soon after their marriage, they moved to Long Lake. Reggie worked as a home economics teacher in the Long Lake High School and also was a co-propietor with her husband at Knotty Pine Lounge in Long Lake. They then moved to Johnsburg and started a family. For awhile, she worked at the Tri-County Nursing Home in North Creek.

Her hobbies included working in her garden, taking long walks near her home, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and telling tales around the dinner table at Casey’s.

Besides her parents previously mentioned, she was also predeceased by her sister, Martha “Tyke” Duell; and her daughter, Kelly Kinnarney.

Regina is survived by her husband, Ted Kinnarney; two daughters, Erin Kinnarney, and Casey Ten Eyck and her husband, Bill, of Johnsburg; two sons, Michael Kinnarney of Stony Creek, and Kevin Kinnarney of Johnsburg; and four grandchildren, Brittney, Dustin, Olivia, and Kody, all of Johnsburg.

Calling and visiting hours will be held at the home of her daughter, Casey Ten Eyck, at 39 Oven Mountain Road in Johnsburg, on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the home. Fr. John O’Kane, pastor of St. James Catholic Church of North Creek, and Sister Husselback will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery. All are invited back to the home for refreshments.
