Christina M. Dobson

June 2, 1966 - August 2, 2025

ALMOND – Christina M. Dobson, 59, passed away on Saturday (August 2, 2025) at home unexpectedly.

Christina was born in Hornell to David and Connie (Studley) Dobson on June 2, 1966. She grew up in Almond and graduated from Alfred-Almond Central School in 1984.

Chris waitressed at Muhleisen’s Restautant in Almond for many years. Later, she attended nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as a nurse at St. James Hospital Urgent Care and ER in Hornell.

Chris’ greatest loves in life were her grandchildren; Jake Dobson, Autumn Dobson, Olivia Kinne, Cale McIntyre, Bryton Carl and Rhyatt Carl. You would often find them, especially Jake, at the cabin fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Chris is also survived by her two children, Daniel (Colleen McIntyre) Dobson and Ashley (Jeff) Carl, both of Almond; a sister, Cara Dobson; her mother-in-law, Judith Grantier; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins, that all meant a great deal to her.

She was predeceased by her long-term partner Jeffrey Grantier; a grandson, Chasyn Lynch, and father-in-law Karl Grantier.

As a nurse, Chris loved working with patients, especially children. She always had a way to make children feel at ease. She had so many amazing co-workers she met along the way, especially Jen Decker and Erica Davenport.

Chris was an avid gardener and enjoyed the satisfaction of working her garden and flower beds. She had a strong talent for crafting and liked to crochet. For solitude, she loved spending time at the cabin and the peace that it brought her.

Honoring Christina’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. A plan for a Celebration of Life will be at a later date to be determined.
