Our Facilities
Always committed to affordable excellence.
Since 1946, residents of Andover and surrounding areas have trusted this funeral home during their time of need.
Our hertiage of service in Andover began with James B. Mulholland in 1946 as the James B. Mulholland Funeral Home. Continuing this family-owned tradition was James’ son, Jimmy. Upon Jimmy’s retirement, the funeral home was sold to Stanley Swan who also had a vision to maintain the business as a family-owned service.
In 2003 Stan retired, selling the facility to Bud Baker, and the funeral home remains independent and family owned. Our wonderful community deserves the quality service that we believe is best delivered by a family-owned funeral home. From 2003 forward, the property has seen many changes and improvements brought about by Bud’s building skills. Our Andover facility offers our community an inviting atmosphere where families meet to honor their loved ones.
One of the little known truths about our amazing town is that our people sincerely care about one another. Rising out of compassion and a desire to help others is a group known as the Caring Cardinals.
This committee of local residents is an active example of neighbors serving neighbors. They offer funeral dinner service to Andover resident families experience the loss of a loved one. The Cardinals offer this meal service along with a lovely setting in the Parish House at the Corner of Church and Elm Street. People throughout the community help in providing side dishes and desserts. The Caring Cardinals do not set prices for their meals as their mission is to simply help meet a need at a very difficult time. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Our Wellsville facility represents the next generation in funeral directing. In 2016 we began a major addition to the facility. It was our desire to keep the character of the original Button House, therefore, the “new” portion of the building is found toward the back of the property. We have added nearly 3000 square feet of space which includes new restrooms, a grand foyer, and an all new gathering room for calling hours and services (estimated seating is 150 people.) The addition is equipped with cutting edge audio/visual capabilities to support our unique funeral services. Due to our internal webcasting services and our generous overflow seating, approximately 225 people are well served in our building.
From the beginning, it was our prayer that we would be able to “pay as we go” thereby avoiding huge amounts of additional debt.
Throughout the project, Bud has been the general contractor, builder, back hoe operator, and so much more, saving thousands of dollars along the way. (Our special thanks to Joel Stoltzfus, who worked along side of Bud for months and months!)
God has provided funds and stretched dollars to bring this project to fruition. He has answered our prayer in a mighty way. It is because of His generosity and faithfulness that we now offer to our community this beautiful new facility. We are thankful to Him for making this project possible.
Because of His provision, we are able and committed to keeping our prices low. We know that you will find our prices to be the same or lower than others in the area.
Always committed to affordable excellence.
