LARGO, FL – Francis M. “Frank” Woythal, born October 24, 1932, in Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at the age of 93.

Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Janice Woythal.

Frank was a lifelong teacher who shared his knowledge and kindness as an automotive repair instructor at Alfred State College. Throughout his long career, he touched the lives of countless students and maintained meaningful connections with many of them until the end of his life. A gifted craftsman, Francis designed and built the cabin where he lived for the past 30 years. In retirement, he and Jan found great joy in building homes together through Habitat for Humanity. Above all else, Frank deeply loved his family and he will be missed.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Henrietta Woythal and siblings Rosalie Coon and Edward Woythal. He is survived by his spouse, Geraldine; his son, Mark (Pam) Woythal; his daughters, Karen (Gary) MacFarquhar and Susan (John) Liebe; his grandsons, Dylan Woythal, Andrew (Lauren) Woythal, Douglas (Rachel) Liebe, and Brian (Dana) Liebe; his cherished great-granddaughter, Madalyn Woythal and his brother David (Judy) Woythal.

A memorial liturgy will be held on Saturday (April 25) at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville, NY. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Andover.
