Annette E. Perkins

September 7, 1935 - September 10, 2025

WELLSVILLE – Annette Elaine (Carr) Perkins, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) at Highland Park Nursing Center in Wellsville.

Annette was born on September 7, 1935 at home on the family farm in Chrystal, Pa., Potter County. She was the daughter of Frank L. and Mary F. (Myrick) Carr. She first attended a one-room country school in Chrystal, Pa., and graduated from Oswayo Valley High School, Shinglehouse, Pa., Class of 1953.

Annette previously worked at Elmhurst Dairy and Texas Hot in Wellsville. Later, at age 54 she returned to school at BOCES in Olean for the LPN Nursing Program and worked at Allegany Nursing Home, Allegany for a number of years.

Annette enjoyed raising Arabian horses and Boston Terrier dogs, owning several over the years.

In addition to her long-time companion, John M. Farber of Wellsville, surviving are her five children; Kevin D. (Deborah) Perkins of Olean, Diane “Mimi” M. (Wayne) LaFleur of Rosenberg, Tx., Nena D. (Harold) Wesche and Robert B. “Brudge” Perkins, both of Wellsville; and Marianne T. E. (Steven) Skarpa of Cleveland, Tx; one brother, Thomas M. Carr of Shinglehouse, Pa.; one sister, Ruth E. Spader of York, Pa.; 15 grandchildren, Kristen Mills, Lauren (Justin) Skrzynski, Brian Perkins, Brent Perkins, Terra (Frank) Adams, Jessica Perkins, Ronda Clark, Jason Wesche, Gregory (Barbara) Wesche, Amber Wesche, Ryan Perkins, Corey Perkins, Ashton Perkins Rogers, Alex (Shana) Scott, and Christopher (Kasey) Scott; 15 great grandchildren, Avery Skrzynski, Tristan Dean, Brenna Stroud, Jenna Stroud, Eliano Niers, Molly Adams, Larissa Jacobs, Krystena Wesche, Brendan Wesche, Gregory Wesche, Jr., Haylee Wesche, Eli Wesche, Izabell Wade, Lane Scott, and Colton Scott; four great-great grandchildren, Olivia Dean, Lincoln Jacobs, Lennox Jacobs, and Kensly Wesche; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by former husband, Robert C. Perkins; a half-brother, Raymond E. Karr; two sisters, Linda K. Griffith and Donna J. Siebert, and an infant grandson, Scott Perkins.

There will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Wellsville/Scio. Online condolences maybe offered at www.baker-swan.com.
