Wilma E. Myers

March 21, 1935 - March 27, 2026

FRIENDSHIP – Wilma E. Myers, 91, passed away on Friday (March 27, 2026) at home among family.

Wilma was born on March 21, 1935 in Wellsville. She was the daughter of Clark D. and Minnie M. (Jones) Wilkins. On August 27, 2016, she married Alan Myers, the love of her life, who survives.

Wilma lived in Flagstaff, AZ for many years and worked as Department Manager of a couple of large department stores, including Dillard’s.

Along with her husband Alan, Wilma is survived by six daughters, Linda Quant, Cindy (Robert) Slocum, Sharon (Ronald) Beckwith, Renda (Ted) Wlasniewski, Connie Swift and Rosemary (Russell) Eddy; one son, Tom (Lisa) Shutt; two step-sons, Charles (Shannon) Myers and Trent (Lori) Myers; 20 grandchildren; Gregory Heath, Sarah Davenport, Jesse Davis, Robert Slocum, Jr., Ryan Slocum, Sandy Jackson, Rhonda Cavagna, Ronald Beckwith, Jr., Jamie Wlasniewski, Amy Wlasniewski, Ted Wlasniewski, John Wlasniewski, Charles Wlasniewski, Burton Densmore, Bambi Coates, Roger Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell, Stacey Duffney, Kimberly Braymiller, Joshua Shutt,; four step-grandchildren; 59 great and great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was predeceased by her siblings Crystal Higby, Katherine Brown and Carl Wilkins and a grandson, Samuel Swift.

No matter what life brought her way, she was a very positive person and always believed that better days were coming. She was always smiling and more concerned for everyone else than for herself.

Together with her husband, they enjoyed traveling abroad as well as in different areas in our nation. They loved dancing to Country and Western music and were regulars at the local dance spots.

  1. My heartfelt condolences to all of Wilma’s family. Although a first cousin, I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Wilma Jean until about 25 years ago. She is one of the kindness, sweetest people I’ve ever known and will be greatly missed by many.
