Ike loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and prided himself as a ginseng digger. He kept an immaculate yard and loved growing vegetables in his garden up on Independence Hill.

Larry was a romantic at heart, enjoying time with his wife. Together they delighted in dancing, playing cards, taking walks, bowling and riding the back roads of Allegany County. At home, he liked siting in the sunroom working puzzles or watching sports on TV.
