ANDOVER – Anna M. Bernolak-Morgan, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Friday (October 2, 2026), surrounded by loving family.

Mrs. Bernolak-Morgan was born on May 17, 1949 in Morriston, a suburb of Swansea, Wales, UK to Walter (Wladyslaw) Bernolak and Hedwig (Jadwiga) Grabowska. Walter, a Polish office from Cracow and Hedwig, from Warsaw, Poland, met in Scotland and married in Edinburg. The family, including Ann and her younger sister, immigrated to Buffalo in 1951.

Ann was a 1967 graduate of Riverside High School in Buffalo. In 1971 she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University at New York at Buffalo. While there, she worked briefly on the US Department of Defense Project “Themis.” Ann earned her Master’s degree, also in psychology, from SUNY College at Oswego. She then taught psychology and statistics for several years at Auburn College, now Cayuga Community College.

On August 6, 1977 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo, Ann married the love of her life Terrence Morgan, who survives. They lived in Virginia and Maryland before settling in Alfred in 1980, when Terry began teaching at SUNY Alfred.

In addition to her husband of 49 years, Ann is survived by her sister Donna of Buffalo and her brother, George, of Buffalo.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brothers, Mark Bernolak and Andrew Bernolak.

In addition to being a loving wife, a caring homemaker and a loyal friend, Ann worked as librarian at Alfred’s Box of Books in the 1980’s. Following her graduate studies in experimental psychology, she continued reading and researching issues of health, nutrition and chemistry.
