TAVARES, FLA. – Patricia J. McCormick, 93, passed away on Thursday (May 11, 2023) at Tavares Cornerstone Hospice Facility following a brief illness.

Mrs. McCormick was born on August 29, 1929 in Olean to Joseph R. and Genevieve (McNeil) Joyce. She was a 1946 graduate of Andover Central School and attended Buffalo State University. On August 29, 1949, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Andover, she married her high school sweetheart, Neil William McCormick, who predeceased her June 15, 2020.

Patricia devoted herself as a homemaker to the care of her husband and children.

Pat is survived by her son-in-law, Earl Perry of Mount Dora, Fla.; a sister, Jocelyn Hazzard of N.C.; a brother, Robert J. (Bonnie) Joyce of Naples, Fla.; two grandsons, Craig W. Perry and Chad L. Perry, both of Tavares, Fla.; one great-grandson, Jacob Perry and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband of 70 years, she was predeceased by a son, Neil Thomas McCormick; a daughter, Cathleen Perry and three brothers-in-law, Noel Hazzard, Robert P. McCormick and Paul G. McCormick.

Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. A favorite pastime was boating with her husband on the Harris Chain of Lakes. She was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Andover and a current member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Dora, Fla.

There will be a combined prayer and scripture reading service for Patricia and Neil William on Saturday (September 9) at 1:00 at Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover followed by a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery where their ashes will be laid to rest beside their son, Neil Thomas. © 2023 Baker-Swan Funeral Home.

NEIL WILLIAM McCORMICK
February 19, 1928 – June 15, 2020

TAVARES, FLA. – Neil William McCormick, 92, passed away on Monday (June 15, 2020) at Brookdale Senior Living in Tavares.

Mr. McCormick was born on February 19, 1928 in Andover to Paul J. and Irene (Bess) McCormick. He was a 1946 graduate of Andover Central School. On August 29, 1949, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Andover, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia J. Joyce, who survives.

Neil owned and operated McCormick Dairy Farm on Greenwood Hill, retiring in 1986.

In addition to his wife of 70 years, Neil is survived by a son-in-law, Earl Perry of Mount Dora, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Charity McCormick of Rochester and Jocelyn Hazzard of N.C.; one brother-in-law, Robert J. Joyce of Naples, Fla.; two grandsons, Craig W. Perry and Chad L. Perry, both of Tavares, Fla.; one great-grandson, Jacob Perry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a son, Neil Thomas McCormick, a daughter, Cathleen Perry and two brothers, Robert P. McCormick and Paul G. McCormick.

Neil was a 16-year member of the Greenwood Town Board. He was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Andover and current member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Dora, Fla.
