MASSILLON, OHIO – Betty L. Walter, 100, formerly of Andover, passed away on Wednesday (July 17, 2024).

Betty was born on April 4, 1924, in Wirt, the daughter of the late Archie E. and Mary (Hoover) Green.

Betty is survived by her son, John F. Walter; two daughters, Cynthia Welch and Lisa Walter; one brother, Francis Green; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband John and eleven siblings.

Betty enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a member of the Amherst Community Church.

The family will receive friends on Thursday (July 25) from 11 a.m. to noon at Baker-Swan Funeral Home, 7 Church Street in Andover. A graveside service will follow at Alfred Rural Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
