Cathy A. Farrow

February 28, 1964 - July 12, 2026

WELLSVILLE – Cathy Ann Farrow, 62, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday (July 12, 2026) following a medical event.

Cathy was born on February 28, 1964 in Wellsville to Arlynn G. and Naomi R. (Bridgewater) Ralyea. She was a graduate of Scio Central School.

Cathy worked as an environmental service aide for many years at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville before retiring in 2023. In her early career, she was a sales associate for Dollar General in Belmont.

Cathy is survived by two children, Chasity (Billy Webster) Rowland and Ronnie “Bubba” (Heather) Farrow, Jr., both of Wellsville; her mother, Naomi R. White of Oklahoma; five siblings, Robin “Birdlegs” Waddle, Shirley Richardson, J.R. Haynes, Tige Haynes and Vickie (Scott) Morrison; three grandchildren, Emily Rowland, Holden Perry and Tyler Farrow; two longtime fur babies, Buddy, her dog, and Dinomite her cat and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Arlynn Rolyea; a daughter, Maranda L. Farrow and, more recently, her lifelong friend and father of her children, Ronnie L. Farrow, Sr.

Cathy was an avid flower gardener, decorating her home with many house plants. She also collected stuffed tigers and enjoyed displaying them around the house.

Cathy loved her family. A favorite, almost daily activity, was spending time with her daughter and cooking dinners and baking deserts for her family. She especially looked forward to the holidays. Crocheting was a big pastime for her, making blankets, hats or socks as gifts for friends and family. And, whenever family got together, board games was a staple, especially Yatzee.

In a word or two, Cathy was caring, loved everybody and always willing to help others.

There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a time to be determined. Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Scio/Wellsville.

Memorial contributions in Cathy’s name may be made to SPCA Serving Allegany County, PO Box 181, Belmont, NY 14813. © 2026 Baker-Swan Funeral Home.
