Don was happiest when he was with his family.
WARREN, Michigan – Donald LeRoy McCluskey, Jr. passed away on Sunday (May 15, 2021) at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital.
Mr. McCluskey was born on Jan. 14, 1961 in Pontiac, Mich. to Donald Senior and Dian Cynthia (Howey) McCluskey. Don owned and operated his own landscaping business for years.
In addition to his father, Don is survived by his sister, Yvonne Faughnan of Alfred Station; nieces and nephews, Jessica Faughnan of Alfred Station, William Faughnan, Joshua (Carolelynn French) Faughnan, Justin Faughnan, all of Hornell, and Shannon Burdick of Redding, Calif.; his great-nephew Zak French of Hornell, a life-long friend John Boyd; and his beloved dog, Jack.
Along with his mother, Don was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Faughnan.
Don’s occupation merged nicely with his love of the countryside and being outdoors. Don spent a great deal of time working on machinery and engines, a pastime that he truly enjoyed. When indoors, he enjoyed the challenge of various computer games.
Don was happiest when he was with his family. He is at the center of fond family memories as being a person who knew how to have fun. He was known to instigate such shenanigans as a water balloon fight, or to end the shenanigans by tossing someone into the kiddie pool.
