GREENWOOD – Frank W. Hall, Jr. 83, passed away on Tuesday (December 20, 2022) at Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Hall was born in 1939 in Rochester to Frank W. and Eleanor L. (Dziekonski) Hall, Sr. He attended Rush-Henrietta Senior High School in Henrietta. He later served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman from 1957 to 1960. Frank earned an Associate’s Degree in Police Science from Monroe Community College in 1969. On November 12, 1977, in Webster, he married and was survived by Karen S. Stephenson.

Frank worked as a Sheriff’s Deputy in the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Rochester, where he worked for 26 years until retiring as a major in 1989. He later worked for Public Abstract Corporation, also in Rochester, for 12 years before retiring in 2001.

Frank loved to mow. He was a John Deere man with a 52-inch mower, a big yard and six neighbors all with yards that needed mowing. He enjoyed the outdoors where he could hunt and play a round of golf.

Frank enjoyed taking his wife to Batavia Downs, a favorite activity they enjoyed together. They also liked to travel together, especially the annual trips to the Canadian National Exhibition held in Toronto each August and the wine tours in the Finger Lakes. Locally, Frank enjoyed the frequent gatherings with the “Hill People” and having dinner with them every Friday night.
