ANDOVER – Kenneth L. Lehman, 76, passed away on Thursday (May 11, 2023) at Hart Comfort House of Allegany County following a brief illness.

Mr. Lehman was born on December 16, 1946 in Wellsville to Raymond and Helen (Glace) Lehman. He was a 1966 graduate of Andover Central School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Kenny worked in maintenance at Wellsville Central School for many years before retiring in 2009. He previously worked at Gunlocke in Wayland and for Andover Village.

Ken is survived by a daughter, Nicole Lehman of Andover; four sisters, Diane (Dale) Ordiway of Andover, Evelyn (Rodney) Fanton and Raelene (Ron) Salmonson, both of Wellsville and Jeanne (James) Wylough of Owego; one brother, Jonny Lehman of Andover; the mother of his children, Reba Davis of Andover; a step-son, Todd Bush of Wellsville; four grandchildren, Donovan Kock of Andover, Joseph Koch, Benjamin Koch and Samuel Koch; a “special daughter”, Kristen Crawford of Wellsville; close friends, Fred Kelley and Kenny Gear, both of Andover; and four exchange students, Janni Debel Spicker, Orie Sakai, Gitte Lebeck and Annuta Tsareva Kanevskaia.

Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing. Some of his daughter Nicole’s favorite memories were with her dad collecting night crawlers, skinning a deer or plucking the feathers off a turkey.

Kenny was an avid New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. He also loved grilling, especially at birthday parties.

A life-long resident of Andover, Kenny was a member of the Andover Volunteer Fire Department, Andover Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Andover American Legion and the Andover Masonic Lodge.

There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Andover First Baptist Church on Friday (June 2) at 12:00 p.m. with the Andover American Legion and Wellsville American Legion saluting their comrade at 1:30 p.m. and concluding with the Patriot Guard Riders escorting Kenny to Bath National Cemetery where full military honors will be performed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover.

  4. Sorry to read of Kenny passing away…a great guy…he assisted me from time to time when I owned the business on Church St…my best to his entire family.
