WELLSVILLE – Margie Pawlak, 85, formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away on Tuesday (August 2, 2022) at Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wellsville.
Mrs. Pawlak was born on June 17, 1937 in Niagara Falls to Michael and Julia (Wilk) Mingus. She was a 1955 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On June 1, 1957, in Niagara Falls, she married Edward Pawlak, who predeceased her on June 8, 1983.
Margie is survived by two brothers, John Mingus of Grand Island and Julian Mingus of Maine; five grandchildren, Robert Edward (Kristin Fahs) Porter of Andover, Ashley Elizabeth (Daniel Nybeck) Porter of Pine City, Jason Richard (Jenny) Pawlak of Columbia, S.C., Jennifer Lindsey (Robert) Rutty of Texas and Adrina Pawlak of Colorado; five great-grandchildren, Arieanna Porter, Brynna Nevol, Jason Pawlak, Evie Pawlak and Katie Rutty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Edward Michael Pawlak and David Walter Pawlak; and her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Lisa” and Bernie Porter.
Margie enjoyed gardening, bowling and watching TV. She loved the large family cookout that was a frequent event in her yard during nice weather.
Per her wishes, there will be no prior visitation. There will be a private graveside service at Valley Brook Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
