AMHERST – Andrew Robert McCabe, 54, passed away on Monday (May 23, 2022) at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. McCabe was born on November 19, 1967 in Tonawanda to Thomas W. and Jean M. (Varshay) McCabe, Sr. In August, 2000 he married Linda Koons, who survives.
Andrew worked as a processor of collections for various companies over the years.
In addition to his wife of 13 years, Andy is survived by his daughter, Lexie McCabe of Amherst; a step-son, Thomas (Laura) Eggert, Jr. of Wheatfield; six siblings, Kim Pusateri, Debra (Carmine) Pisano, Timothy “Timmy” McCabe, James “Jimmy” McCabe, Jeffrey (Jennifer) McCabe and Coleen McCabe; three grandchildren, Kayla, Trent and Alana; his dear canine friend, Rosie McCabe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Thomas W. McCabe, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Amy L. McCabe.
Andy loved spending time with his family. He was proud of his daughter, Lexie, who meant the world to him. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. He was very proud to be Irish and had a love for Camaro’s. He also enjoyed collecting tools.
Andy was known as a kind- and soft-hearted man. He will be deeply missed.
